Delaware's Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Frank Vavala called his National Guardsmen the new minutemen. "You have been called to do extraordinary work. You have been part-time warriors, but you are full-time patriots who understand what it takes to complete the mission."

After the ceremony, the Delaware leadership team spent some time with the ESC team and bid them a fond farewell. The deploying Delawareans should return home in the summer of 2011.
