Air Guard Officer

May 21, 2010

Officers are subject to distinct application requirements, with selection and commissioning opportunities contingent on the responsibilities and manning of each individual unit. Based on the unit's needs, officers are typically selected from enlisted members within the unit, although opportunities are also available for new-to-military individuals to earn a commission.

Among the minimum requirements for becoming an officer, non-prior service applicants must be less than 35 years old before the date of appointment.
